Dartford Tunnel Closures

• We have been notified that the Dartford Tunnel will be closing on the following dates:
• Saturday 10 August:Dartford east tunnel, (no access for vehicles over 4.8m), 8pm to 10am
• Sunday 11 August:Dartford east tunnel (no access for vehicles over 4.8m), 10pm to 5am
• East tunnel – vehicles less than 4.8m (15‘-9”) high will be diverted via the west tunnel. Vehicles between 4.8m (15‘-9”) and 5.0m (16’-6”) high will be diverted via M25 clockwise.

COVID/Sickness

• As much as we would love to have you at our wedding, if you're feeling sick/poorly please watch the livestream instead and please do not attend.
• We have a few individuals with immunity conditions attending the Wedding (including the Groom!) and individuals who care for the vulnerable.
• Although it may seem like COVID is now gone in July 2024 a COVID surge has occurred, The UK currently has one of the largest groups of people with COVID in the EU as of July 2024.
• This is due to the new variant known as FLiRT. Guests can now obtain the COVID vaccine privately if they wish to do so via PharmaDoctor
• We would appreciate it if you would do a covid test 24 hours before the Wedding. This isn't compulsory but we would appreciate it greatly.

• From the A26 turn onto Oakwood Road.
• Follow the signage for "Oakwood House"

• Please only attend if you have been given a wedding invite as we have a strictly limited capacity.

Directions to the Reception from the Wedding Venue (Mercure Maidstone Great Danes Hotel)

• Mercure Maidstone Great Danes Hotel is situated just off Junction 8.
• Follow signage for Leeds Castle, You will eventually get to two roundabouts, the hotel is opposite the hollingborne.

Public Transport

• Check for engineering works before travel, plan ahead. - Southeastern Rail is the local operator, The nearest station is Bearsted for the reception, Maidstone West for the Wedding Venue
• If your travelling by Taxi we recommend Express Taxis, You can order a taxi via the app or by calling 01622-22-22-22. Maidstone does NOT have Uber, this is the cheapest option.
• We have also used Streamline Kent and Sapphire Cars as back-up options. Double check with telephone dispatcher to ensure they accept card.
• If your travelling via London use the TFL Network Status to track delays and closures.
